About the event
Tuesday 18 August
7.30pm-9pm
You’re warmly invited to an informal evening of stories, photographs and video from my recent five-week stay at the Isha Yoga Centre in southern India.
I’ll share something of what it was really like to live within an ashram - the daily rhythm, the practices, the people, the atmosphere and some of the moments that surprised, challenged and deeply moved me.
This won’t be a formal talk or a complete guide to India. It will be a personal reflection on the experience, including time at the Dhyanalinga, the Adiyogi, the sacred water temples, volunteering, Ayurvedic rejuvination programme, ashram life and the quieter insights that have remained with me since returning home.
There will be time at the end for questions and conversation.
